So after a while searching, I finally decided to make a plush christmas tree this year. Well… actually, I’m going to make a bunch of plushies to decorate a real tree. I tried to find some online patterns. Epic fail ! That’s why I’m in the process of creating mine. After 3 attempts, I eventually figure out how to make a jingle bell. Here’s the pattern !

Level : Beginner

You need :

  • yellow yarn
  • knitting needles (3.5 to 4 mm)
  • sewing needle
  • wool needle
  • stuffing
  • ribbon
  • wood bead

Let’s go !

  1. Cast on 16 stitches
  2. Knit 4 rows
  3. Next row : decrease 1, knit 14 stitches, decrease 1 stitch (the last one).
  4. Repeat n°3
  5. Purl

  16. Slip-Stitch Decrease X2  – Knit
  17. Slip-Stitch Decrease – Knit
  18. Slip-Stitch Decrease – Knit
  19. Cut the yarn : run the yarn through the needles.

Now, knit another jingle bell : start again from n°1 to n°19.

Bottom :

  • Cast on 14 rows
  • Knit 6 rows
  • Cast off

Let’s build the jnigle bell !

  1. Put the two bells back to back. Sew the sides.
  2. Insert the ribbon at the top. Secure with yarn.
  3. Tighten & tie (use the yarn through the needles).
  4. Turn your work.
  5. Stuff carefully.
  6. Insert & sew the bottom
  7. Sew a wood bead.

Done !
